Below we have two pictures of our current design.
The first is an outside view of the building looking toward the entrance. It is our hope that the design is attractive and fits in well with the area. The second is the floor plan of our proposed building. We plan for a 250 person worship space, a multi-use lobby with access to a courtyard for fellowship, a children's wing with several classrooms for our children's ministry, and a small administration space as well. This design will met our present needs as well as provide space for growth.
Thank you all who call River Valley Community Church home,
for this is a fruit of your labor.
As I look toward the future of our church, I am excited to
dream about how God can use us in this location. I am thrilled to pray about
how our ministry can be furthered by this new building, which is a tool to
reach this developing neighborhood and community.
River Valley Community Church is built on the rock of Jesus
Christ. As we read in the gospel of Matthew “Simon Peter replied, ‘You are the
Christ, the Son of the living God.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘Blessed are you,
Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my
Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will
build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” This is
true now, where we have met for the last 12 years and it will be true in this
new location and building.
River Valley Community Church is built on the rock
of Christ.
River Valley Community Church’s mission remains the same.
The mission of River Valley is to lead people to become fully-devoted followers
of Jesus Christ. In all we do, we aim to lead people and point people to our
Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe this new location and building will be a great
tool to do just that.
Finally, I want to encourage all of us to be committed to
this foundation and mission. If you call River Valley home, I ask you to
re-commit right now to Christ, each other, and this mission here at your
church. Pray for your church and your church family, your leaders, and your
ministry. Trust as the psalmist wrote “unless the Lord builds the house, those
who build it labor in vain.” God is using and will use this community for his
kingdom work… and that includes you. So let’s be excited and ready for what
awaits us.
